4 March : Congress President Sonia Gandhi described bills on Food Security and Women’s Reservation as “most important” legislative agenda of the government at Congress Parliamentary party meeting on Thursday.
Sonia has backed Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on budget and indicated there would be no roll back on fuel pricing.
She criticized the opposition for playing negative politics on price rise.
Addressing the Congress Parliamentary Party, she said, ” the government has many essential social obligations and it is necessary to raise resources to meet them”.
The Congress President further reiterated that Food Security and Women’s Reservation Bill are the two “most important” legislative agenda of the government.
She also condemned Kabul and Pune blast and expressed her condolence to the bereaved families.
