Bhopal : Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate three day World Hindi Conference on September 10, in Bhopal.
A meeting convened by external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj today discussed agenda for the gala event which is aimed at promoting Hindi and also felicitate personalities serving the language all over the world.
India is set to host the World Hindi Conference after a gap of 32 years which will focus for the first time on promoting the language as a means to employment.
The 10th World Hindi Conference (WHC) will be organized from September 10th to 12th in Bhopal by the Ministry of External Affairs.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, forign minister Sushma Swaraj said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the conference and Bollywood star Amitabh Bachan will be the chief guest on the last day of the conference.
External Affairs Minister said that for the first time private players like google and apple will participate.
About 3,000 participants are expected to participate in the mega event.The first World Hindi Conference was held in 1975 in Nagpur.
Since then, nine such Conferences have been held all over the globe.
