On her maiden visit to the national capital after winning the Assembly polls, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Tuesday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
During her meeting, she handed over to the Prime Minister a 65-page memorandum detailing the state government’s demands including an additional 1000 MW of power to Tamil Nadu from the central grid.Later speaking to the reporters, Jayalalitha said she had expressed her intention of having friendly relations with the UPA Government in the interest of Tamil Nadu.
She said her demands to the Centre include an additional 1000 Mega watt of Power to Tamil Nadu from the cental grid.
In response to a query the Chief Minister sought resignation of Union textiles minister Dayanidhi Maran who is embroiled in 2G spectrum controversy.
