Chandigarh, Nov 1: Attacking the Congress-led UPA government in unison, JD (U) President Sharad Yadav, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala and former Army chief V K Singh today alleged that the country was faced with “leadership crisis” and condition of common man had turned miserable.
Condemning the Congress government at the centre for not ensuring women reservation in political representation the Indian National Lok Dal supremo and former Haryana chief minister Ch. Om Prakash Chautala has announced that in his party 33 per cent tickets will be given to women candidates.
Mr. Chautala made this announcement while addressing a mommath public rally organized to pay tribute to former deputy prime minister and INLD’s founder Tau Devi Lal at Rewari. The INLD supremo said that Congress has anti people policies and his party can go to any extend to dethrone the congress from power.
Launching a scathing attack to the Congress government in Haryana Mr. Chautala announced to set up Rao Tula Ram University in Meerpur and a medical college and Central University in Ahirwal. Mr. Chautala also announced that besides filling the backlog in services of SC and backward communities and to oppose farmers exploitation on the name of acquisition when INLD voted to power.
NDA Convener and JD(U) president Mr. Sharad Yadav, Punjab Chief Minsiter Sr. Prakash Singh Badal, Former Army Chief Gen VK Singh, Parliamentary leader of Telgu Desham Party Mr. T Nageshwar Rao, Mr. Ramdass Athawale of RPI, Grand Son of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar Mr. Prakash Ambedkar and Mr. RK Anand also addressed that mammoth rally. On this occasion lakhs of people also created new world record by jointly participating in the National Anthem. Vandana Vajpai also presented a song in the memory of Tau Devi Lal.
Enthusiast with the massive gathering at the rally Mr. Sharad Yadav appealed to the people to uproot the Congress government, which has been drowned in the corruption and scams. Yadav said that the everyday scams of the Congress government has proved that the Congress government was busy in looting the public money and the time has come to realize the dreams of Tau Devi Lal by forming a government of his dreams.
He alleged that Hooda has dichted the farmers by acquiring their priceless land to private builders and industrialists, whereas mass leader Ch. Devi Lal used to spend his own earnings for public welfare. He further warned that if people of the state will not wake up Congress will gulp entire Haryana.
Amid the applause Punjab Chief Minisiter Prakash Singh Badal said that only INLD government caould protect rights of farmers, laborers and Aam Admi of Haryana. He added that in his 60 years of political career he has seen only two big leaders Late Jai Prakash Narain and Ch. Devi Lal. Former DPM had given big sacrifices for public welfare and he denied to become prime minister and become deputy prime minister for the benefit of the nation. He added that only INLD government can fulfill the dreams of Devi Lal.
Paying tribute to Ch. Devi Lal former Army chief Gen. VK Singh Said that Ch. Devi Lal had always followed Mahatma Gandhi’s path way and formed policies for the welfare of commonman and farmers. Allegeing the Congress government at Centre for indulging in corruption and scams Mr. Singh appealed the people to elect good leaders like Ch. Devi Lal in future. Mr. VK Singh also alleged the central government for ignoring the sacrifices and importance of soldiers. “By not accepting the long peding demand of one rank, one pension scheme the UPA government has ditched the soldiers”
