The government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that the draft Lok Pal Bill is ready by 30th June.
Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily on Saturday said in Bangalore that few contentious issues remain in framing the Lok Pal Bill by the joint drafting committee.
Moily said the draft would come before the Cabinet after being circulated to various ministries.He however asked the civil society members to participate in discussions with the government on already fixed dates instead of boycotting it.
The Anna Hazare led team did not attend the 10th June meeting.Moily also said that the government is not engaged in any “back door” dialogue with yoga guru Ramdev, who is on indefinite fast.
