The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday appeared to be struggling with another controversy in wake of a female volunteer’s complaint against party leader Kumar Vishwas.
Following the complaint the Delhi Commission for Women has summoned Vishwas and his wife.
The AAP volunteer had approached the commission claiming that “false rumours” of his having illicit relationships with her were ruining her reputation and that Vishwas should come forward to clarify.
The woman claimed that she had also written separate letters to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Police Commissioner apprising them of the same.
She has alleged that Vishwas took no action towards dispelling the “rumours” while Kejriwal did not take note of her complaint.
The Aam Aadmi Party has defended Kumar Vishwas saying the allegations are false and baseless and party is being targeted.
Kumar Vishwas also rejected the allegations against him.
