Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar is in Leh today on a two-day visit to Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir.
During the visit the Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will review the security and border situation.
The Defence Minister, who is accompanied by Army Chief General Dalbir Singh, will hold a high-level meeting of top commanders of Jammu and Kashmir to review the security situation, cross border infiltration and border security setup.
He is scheduled to address troops in Leh. He will also formally transfer the technology developed by the Defense Institute of High Altitude Research, a research unit of DRDO in Ladakh to a private company.
