For the second consecutive day no business could be transacted in both houses of the Parliament in the ongoing winter session.
Both the houses were adjourned till tomorrow as constant sloganeering and ruckus prevented any transaction after the houses resumed proceedings after the first adjournment earlier in the day.
The members raised the issue of Telengana and Price Rise.As the proceedings began at 11 AM opposition members erupted in protest in both the houses of Parliament on various issues leading to adjournment.
Lok Sabha was adjourned when opposition members shouted slogans and trooped to the well of the house.Different groups were raising different demands.
Members from Andhra Pradesh shouted slogans demanding creation of Telegana state.Rest of the opposition, mainly Left and the BJP members shouted slogans on price rise.
In the ensuing melee, the speaker adjourned the House till 12 PM.In the Rajya Sabha, BJP members were on their feet demanding a discussion on black money.
They also wanted suspension of Question Hour to discuss price rise.CPI-M members trooped into the Well, ignoring appeals of the Chair, demanding a discussion on price rise under a rule which entails voting.
Home Minister P Chidambaram was present in the Upper House as he had to give replies to questions related to his ministry, but no question could be taken up.
