The NDA on Tuesday decided to bring a motion that entails voting against the Government’s decision on FDI in multi brand retail.
The alliance, which met under the chairmanship of L K Advani to finalise its strategy in the Winter Session of Parliament beginning Thursday, appealed to all the political parties which extended support to the nation-wide bandh against the government’s FDI decision of 7th December to support the motion.
CPM said its priority is to force the Government to roll back anti people policies whereas the Government said the voting on policy matters will set a wrong precedent.
The BJP remained tight lipped on the issue of supporting Trinamool Congress sponsored no- trust motion.
Party top brass today met at the residence of senior leader Lal Krishna Advani and discussed the matter.
After the meeting Party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said the final decision on the issue of FDI in retain will be taken after the meeting of NDA this evening.
