Chandigarh, December 24, 2013 :A massive 201 feet long cake was today cut amidst thousand of visitors as a part of Christmas Celebrations at Chandigarh Winter Carnival at Fair Ground, Sector 34, Chandigarh. A 13-day long Chandigarh Winter Carnival is serving the delights to all walks of life this winters. Special Children were the special invitees for the cake cutting ceremony. These special children had brought laurels for the country in the recently concluded Asia Pacific Regional Games of Special Olympics held from December 1-6, 2013 at Newcastle, Australia by winning numerous medals in various disciplines of games. The last year organisers will break their own record of slicing 151 feet long cake to mark the same festivity.
The organisers has specially invited 25 exhibitors under the aegis of Him Bunkar from Himachal Pradesh who are displaying their handicraft and handlooms hailing from tribal belts of Kinnaur and Kullu. Special provision has been made for kids by staging Kids Carnival during the entire span of 13 days long event. Over 15 joy rides are installed for the recreation of people. A total of 70 stalls are showcasing the best of their products which includes electronics, engineering and automobiles, home furnishing, home décor, apparel, handicraft and handlooms, textiles, consumable and durables and other forms of products. The food plaza includes the kitchen from Punjab serving authentic Amritsari Naan to Daal Baati Churma and other delicacies from Rajasthan and Gujarat are tempting everyone
