Chandigarh, 14th Nov: After his directorial venture Garv starring Salman Khan, Puneet Isarr is back with his next film “I Am Singh”, that salute the undying spirit of Sikhs all over the world. “Throwing light on discrimination and racism that Indians have faced abroad this movie is made”. These words were said by Puneet Issar who was there in city this afternoon for the promotion of his movie “I AM SINGH”.
One of the most appalling events like 9/11 terror strikes in New York and Sikh’s pride all over the world is shown in this movie. “I AM SINGH’ star cast comprises of Puneet Issar, Gulzar Chahal, Amy Rasimas and Tulip Joshi in lead roles i.e. releasing on 2nd December, 2011.
During the event, in conversation with writer and director Puneet Issar, he said, “Being in industry for the last 25 years, it’s the real life incidents script that inspired me to show the undying spirit of Sikhs all over the world. With “I Am Singh”, I want to reiterate the fact that “Turban” is the respect of identity, in another words its HUKUMNAMA”.
”The movie is based on all community not on single character. Produced by Peshaura Singh Thind, it signifies that everyone wearing turban isn’t be Osama. This movie takes a look at the discrimination Sikhs around the world that they are facing after 9/11 attack” he further.
“With blend of traditional and modern music, the movie is shot in US. For the first time as a guest appearance, the noted singers like Daler Mehandi and Mika has sang together for the several tracks of this movie. Daler has sung 2 tracks for this movie while Mika has sang one song for this movie,” he adds.
“I want to banish stereotypes through my film. It’s going to be an eye opener for all the people and signs off.
