Lalit Mohan : Dhobi Ghat (Mumbai Diaries) the acclaimed movie from Aamir Khan productions directed by Kiran Rao is to be launched by the couple in a event to be held in Crossword book store at Kemp’s Corner, Mumbai on Thursday 15th. The DVD is being released by Excel Home Entertainment. Consumers of the DVD will also stand a chance to watch Aamir’s forthcoming Talash with the ace superstar on the first day of release. Aamir and Kiran will be launching the Music CD’s, DVD and Blu-ray of Dhobi Ghat.

The Music CD include tracks by International artist and two times Grammy and Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Amores Perros,The Motorcycle Diaries).The hit track ‘Ghat‘ (composed by Gustavo Santaolalla and Aamir Khan) will also be featured in the Music CD.
Dhobi Ghat premiered in September 2010 at the Toronto International Film Festival. The plot revolves around the teeming metropolis of Mumbai, where four people separated by class and language are drawn together in compelling relationships. Shai, an affluent investment banker on a sabbatical, strikes up an unusual friendship with Munna, a young and beautiful laundry boy with ambitions of being a Bollywood actor, and has a brief dalliance with Arun, a gifted painter who in turn finds inspiration from video tapes left behind by an earlier tenant, a married Muslim immigrant girl. Dhobi Ghat was loved by the audience and finally the much awaited DVD will be unveiled by the talented couple.
