Barinder Saluja, ChandigarhFeb. 15 : The St. Valentines Day in Chandigarh saw another extravaganza in the evening at leisure valley, where Rotract Club of Chandigarh organized a fund raising Punjabi concert in which Sherry Mann, Yaar Anmulle fame, rocked the audience with his foot tapping Punjabi songs.
Heartline Concert – 2011, was the name of the evening event organized by the Rotract Club of Chandigarh, a youth wing of Rotary Club Chandigarh (Rotary International District 3080), to generate the funds for the ailing under privileged Children’s for the execution of their Heart Surgeries. This is an endeavor of Rotary Club Chandigarh under which 340+ lives have been saved and now the efforts are being made by the young generation of Rotary family. The organizers are the young brigade from the colleges of the tricity like PU-UIET, DCET, PEC, CCET, DAV, SD, Chitkara and many more giving their best efforts for getting out something constructive on this Valentines day via this concert.
The event saw a huge turnaround by the youth who came in the form of flocks, from all walks of life, descended at the sector 10, Leisure valley grounds and enjoyed to their fullest. Singing, dancing and shouting along with Sherry Mann, audience requested the songs of their choice, which were fulfilled by the singer. Some of his hot hits which he sang were “Yaar Anmulle”, “Chandigarh da Chaska”, “Pooja”, “Pind”, “Yaar Malanga Nu”.
