By Madhup Yadav. Chandigarh, 7th July : Media's role in Parliamentary Elections 2009’ and ‘Media's role in covering international developments’ will be under scanner during the two day meeting of the Governing Board of the Indian Media Centre here coming weekend.
Two Professional Sessions will be held as part of the Governing Board meeting Indian Media Centre on July 12. The first to discuss ‘Media's role in Parliamentary Elections 2009’ will be chaired by Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Water resources Pawan Bansal, it will have Dr Chandan Mitra Editor in Chief of the Daily Pioneer and former Panjab University Vice chancellor Prof K N Pathak as the speakers.
The Second Professional session on ‘Media's role in covering international developments’ will be chaired by Punjab Minister for Local Bodies and Industry Manoranjan Kalia, speakers for the session will be Prof. Hemant Joshi of IIMC New Delhi and Mr K G Suresh, a senior Journalist from Delhi.
Punjab Chief Mr Prakash Singh Badal will inaugurate National Governing Body meeting of Indian Media Centre here on Saturday July 11, 2009. Haryana Chief Minister Mr B S Hooda, will deliver the valedictory address at the end of the second Professional Session on Sunday July 12.
