Public Awareness for Healthful Approach for Living (PAHAL) organised a free Thyroid Disorder and Diabetes detection camp at L S Institute of ENT and Medical Sciences, Exhibition Road, Patna. Medical Director PAHAL, Dr Diwakar Tejaswi informed that Hypothyroid among women in Bihar is becoming very common endocrine disorder. In India more than 4 crore population are suffering from this. Dr Tejaswi informed that weight gain, low sex drive, abdominal bloating, thinning of hair, puffy face, cold intolerance, depression, brittle fingernails, cold hands or feet are symptoms of hypothyroidism. Altogether 95 person had free checkup and 20 were found to be diabetic and 11 had features of hypothyroidism.
