25 Apr : The campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections continue non stop despite the heat wave conditions prevailing in many parts of the country. The northern and eastern parts of India are sizzling with the mercury crossing the 45-degree mark in several places of West Bengal and Orissa, where the death toll due to suspected sun stroke mounted to 39 on Saturday.
Sonia highlights UPA’s achievement
Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Saturday highlighted the achievement of the UPA government in a rally in Rae Bareli.
Asserting that the UPA had signed the nuclear deal looking at India’s future requirement, she said that the government launched the NREGA scheme looking at the requirement of the poor people.
Rahul addresses rally in Gangtok
Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi addressed an election rally at Gangtok in Sikkim on Saturday.Criticising the state government for not looking into the problems of the common men he accused them of not utilising the centre’s fund.

Advani criticizes UPA’s economic policy
