28 Oct : All arrangements have been put in place for the smooth departure of over 8000 Haj pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir, said a senior officer of State Haj Committee.
Starting 30th October there will be a daily flight till 12th November, said the Executive officer of the Haj Committee Abdul Rashid Mir. In addition, there will be two daily flights from 13th November to 25th November to carry the pilgrims from Srinagar to Saudi Arabia, he said.
He asked the pilgrims to report at Baitul Hujjaj (Haj House) Bemina in Srinagar at 7:30 am for the completion of all necessary formalities on the date of their departure.
Mir said the outstation pilgrims could avail the accommodation at Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) and Hotel Heemal, a day before the date of flight.
For availing the accommodation, the pilgrims will have to report to the Control Room set up at TRC, he said adding the accommodation would be provided to the pilgrims only and not to the accompanying attendants.
He requested the pilgrims and their attendants to cooperate with the authorities for smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.He said that due to non-receipt of travel documents from the Hajj Committee of India, the date of intending pilgrims scheduled to leave for Jeddah on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th November have been rescheduled.
The pilgrims are requested to contact the Haj house for their next departure date, he added.
