Pracheen Kala Kendra will organize its 170th Monthly Baithak Programme on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at Bhaskar Rao Indoor Auditorium, Sector 35-B , Chandigarh when renowned Vocalist Dhananjay Hegde will mesmerize the city audience with his mellifluous Vocal recital.
Born in a musical family, Dhananjay Hegde is a young and talented vocalist whose gayaki is a blend of Kirana and Gwalior Gharanas. Born gifted, he began learning music at the age of four from his mother Smt. Geeta Hegde. Later, Dhananjay was fortunate enough to have trained under Pt. Venkatesh Kumar from Dharwad. In 1989, he joined Pt. Vinayak Torvi for advanced training and he has undergone rigorous training under Pandit Torvi in Gurukul tradition which moulded Dhananjay into a complete performer.
With his dedication to music and quality performance, he has won the hearts of music listeners all over India. He has the credit of performing in major music festivals including Sawai Gandharva, Nehru Centre, India Habitat Centre, besides USA, Nepal, Bangladesh, etc. He is a graded artiste of All India Radio and his performances have been telecast on various television channels.
He has also cut music CDs and cassettes which are running demand in market.
