The Delhi auditions of Dance India Dance Season 3, saw a craze for Master Remo D’Souza like never before. There were 2 exact Remo duplicates hovering around the audition venue and misleading contenders into believing that they were the original Remo seeking to select the best talent! They so closely resembled Remo in all his mannerisms that not for a moment did the crew believe that it was not the original Master Remo on the prowl!
Master Geeta Kapoor and Terence Lewis dropped their jaws to the floor when Vinod Kumar walked into to give his audition. They thought that Remo and Vinod were twins separated in some Kumbh ka Mela. When the Masters asked him about being Remo’s duplicate, Vinod said, “From the moment I stepped into the Capital city, I was given a princely treatment. I got direct entry in the audition venue and didn’t even have to stand in the queue like the others. And this was only due to my resemblance to Remo Sir… I get mobbed wherever I go. Thanks to this look and the passion for dance, I have opened up a dance academy and its really running well. Even today the crowd broke the barricade and chased me thinking I am Remo Sir.” And watching this uncanny resemblance with a huge smile plastered on his face was Master Remo.
If one duplicate was not enough, in walked Arshaad Ansari who was yet another Remo lookalike. Terence looked shocked and quipped, “NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL A CO-INCIDENCE.” Arshaad is called Chota Remo by all his friends and family members. Geeta requested the programming team to get both Remo lookalikes on stage with the original Master and had them perform an impromptu jig. Terence and Geeta took out their cameras and clicked a picture of the threesome! Before leaving the stage, Arshaad said to Remo, “Sir, no matter how many lookalikes you will have… you will always remain the one and only Master.”
Did the lookalikes dance like Remo? Did they win the coveted Taqdeer Ki Topi?
