Mumbai, December , 2014: Life OK’s iconic show Devon keDev..Mahadev that set gold standards on Indian television and scaled new peaks of success and popularity,is set to bid adieu after a successful run of 3 years. The show took its viewers on a mythical journey encapsulating story of Lord Shiva, the supreme lord whom they worshiped everyday through the medium of their TV sets. Launched in 2011, Devon ke Dev Mahadev became a nationwide phenomenon that besotted its viewers through compelling narrative and larger-than-life portrayal of Lord Shiva.
The culmination of Devon keDev..Mahadevwill now pave way to begin another legendary taleMahakumbh- EkRahasya, EkKahani, untold tale of the biggest Indian legend, in a contemporary mytho thriller format. Produced by Arvind Babbal Productions, the show will go on air from December 15, Monday to Friday at 8pm and will see the handsome and talented actor GautamRode as the lead protagonist ina heroic avatar. With Mahakumbh, the national award winner andveteran actress Seema Biswas will make her television debut. Actors Payal Rajput, Manish Wadhwa, Robin Das, Ketki Dave and child actor Siddharth Nigam will also be seen essaying pivotal roles.
While Devon ke De..Mahadevcaptured victory of good over evil, Mahakumbhwill showcase thejourney of Rudra (Gautam Rode), an ordinary man with extraordinary powers. Rudraseparates from his family as a child and meets Udiya baba (Robin Das) who takes him to the Ghats of Varanasi where Maii-Muii (Seema Biswas)protects and raises him. Rudra spends his childhood on the Ghats around the funeral pyres oblivious to the unprecedented powers he possesses. But he eventually discovers his purpose of existencethat will lead him to the secret of Mahakumbh.

Elated to play a heroic character on screen, actorGautam Rode said, “Mahakumbh has a very unique concept and I was certain to take it up when I heard the script for the first time.
