Guess who says, “Sareee??? O my god! It’s such a bothersome garment !!” Says the veteran actress who is always loved and admired in sarees – Mrs. Bindeshwari Kaushik aka Vibha Chibber! “ Why can’t people have mothers or mother in law’s who wear nice salwar suits? I simply hate wearing a saree for 12-14 hours a day. I hold the elegant saree in high regards but don’t like it draped around me. I am more of a casual dresser and would prefer wearing comfortable clothes like a simple salwar-kameez or a jeans and a tee-shirt. I can admire a saree on others and I personally think it is a graceful garment, but I’m just not made for it. It’s the biggest irony of my life that my fans and my audiences always like me only in sarees. We buy clothes that appeal to our innate sense. Dressing right is more complicated than just putting to pieces of clothing together. For Vibha Chibber work comes first and she will give in her 100 percent even at the cost of personal taste. It has been Vibha Ji’s misfortune that on screen she is mostly seen in a saree as per the requirements clad pertaining to her character. “Hope someday a production house will come up with a show with a cool mommy in it and I will jump at the offer,” sighs Vibha Ji. “The credit entirely goes to my designer and my stylist that they make me look so admirable on screen as Mrs. Bindeshwari Kaushik. They are also at the receiving end of all my saree tantrums when the shoot gets delayed and I have to spend half a day in that unmanageable attire,” chuckles the lady talking about her saree woes!
Vibha Ji, we sincerely hope that in your daughter-in-law, Lovely’s company…we will very soon get to see you in a ‘cool mommy avatar’!
