30 July : Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is rock-steady at the box-office, celebrated his 50th birthday on Wednesday with a small get-together on the sets of Anil Kapoor’s ”No Problem” at Cape town.
Sanjay’s rise to stardom, achieving critical as well as popular appreciation for his portrayal in ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ and ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ as well as executing roles of gangsters to perfection, has made him a much-sought after hero in Bollywood.
He is still giving the younger lot of actors a run for their money, film industry sources said.
His wife Manyata, accompanied by the actor’s close friends, flew down to Cape town to wish him many happy returns of the day along with cast and crew of the under-production film. ”It was just a small get-together”, one of his close associates told a news agency.
Sanjay has six releases lined up for the year, starting with ”Luck” released last friday and his role, has been appreciated by cinemagoers.
Unfazed by age catching up, he admits, ”You have to accept your age gracefully and admit you cannot be doing the same stuff that you did a decade back.” But he is glad getting roles that suit him now, his associate added.
