MISTY MYSTERY -Ritu Raag
Chilled drops lay, kissing my cheeks,
Widened my eyes and found myself on peeks.
As white as the sheep flocked,
Mesmerized by the beauty, I was lip-locked.
Base was creamy and cloudy,
Glared up at the scene so gaudy.
Elegantly there the royal palace laid,
Besides me was standing my maid.
She endearingly held my arm,
embracing upon me a fur, so warm.
My attire was then transformed;
Majestically, and hair queenly combed.
In a silver carriage, I was led
By the courtiers, for me to wed.
My desired prince stepped in,
I was left blank, but with a grin.
Together we, hand in hand,
Rode to the golden eternal land.
Jewels and pearls were showered by him,
And I was proud to be the luxurious victim.
The diamond tiara, on my brow, was placed so well
But in no time, I just slipped and fell…
Faintly, when I rose,
Smile turned to morose.
On green sod lying by a log,
I mistook as clouds
What, actually, was just a fog.
In dreams, I was about to make history
But left disheartened by the misty mystery.
