Delhi : Technocrat Anu Tayal compiled stories of great King Janaka in “Videha”, After the success of her first book “Little Heroes of India”.
When we hear about King Janaka name, the only bell that rings in our ears is of Sita’s father and Lord Rama’s father-in-law. But King Janaka’s greatness is quoted in many of Indian texts like Bhagwad Gita, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Upanishads, Yoga Vashishtha, Anu-Gita and many more.
He is one of the great kings and emperors who enjoyed power and riches without being getting least attached to them. He was highest being in the spiritual wisdom of his time. Since the great moral of the life of Janaka has been to gain spirituality without giving up personal responsibilities or belongings it is especially useful for present generations of young adults.
Nice to hear and see this.
