5 Apr : Popstar Michael Jackson suffered a huge setback in his bid to stop 2,000 of his personal items from going under the hammer after a Los Angeles judge ruled in approval of the auction.
Jackson is undeterred and has vowed to take his appeal to another court on 15th April, reported a website. However, the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker doesn’t have much time on his hands as the items are slated to go under the hammer from 22nd -25th April.
His production company MJJ Productions had filed the law suit in March to stop the auction by Julien’s Auction House claiming that the "priceless and irreplaceable" items were taken without the final consent of the singer.
The items that will be auctioned include an array of collectibles from Jackson’s Neverland Ranch such as his iconic bejeweled white glove, his MTV awards, family photographs, gifts given to star by his children and other valuable possessions.
Meanwhile, representatives of Julien’s Auction House have maintained their stand that they organised the auction with Jackson’s consent and claimed to be shocked by the lawsuit.
They also accused the representatives of the star for threatening them with violence in their bid to stop the proceedings.
