About Play -“Hamari Bhee Suno” (A Play in Punjabi) A multi – story housing society, Aashiana, is conducting its Annual General Meeting in the home of one of its members. Instead of conducting a serious meeting, the members start talking about their bitter – sweet experiences of life , particularly owing to the generation gap with their children. The elders fear the globalization , which they feel may engulf their cultural roots negatively and impact future relationships. The younger generation thinks differently and voice their point of view to their parents and elders.
As they discuss , the situation turns hilarious and young and old laugh and sing together. All of them realize that both the generations are emotionally and otherwise dependent on each other in-spite of the differences and that it is only a matter of slight adjustment here and there . They also realize that undercurrent of interference is love and concern which is the bane of all close relationships.
