By Jagpreet Sandhu ,Chandigarh, Febuary 6 : The day two of techno-cultural fest of UIET, Panjab University began with street dance competitions in which ten shortlisted teams gave their performance. The event had an audience of 300 students who were fascinated by the agility and the steps of the dance groups.
During the event street plays also attracted huge crowd. UIET’s Team performed a play on corruption. The UIET campus was brimmed with fun activity events like ‘Andha Safar’ and ‘The Break up Plan’. There was a general knowledge quiz as well that was attended by 150 students. The evening at GOONJ was lit up by the contest Razzmatazz which was a group dance competition.
Apart from the cultural and fun events, in an arena bright Engineers of UIET and other institutes brought their Robots to compete against each other. This was one of the featured events of GOONJ 2012. The second day also included the Jan Lokpal in which there was a Parliament style discussion of the lokpal bill.
To celebrate the 10th year of UIET, Panjab University the alumni also came to the college to be a part of the festivities. The first ever alumni meet began at the Golden jubilee Auditorium of PU and concluded in UIET auditorium.
In the evening, the campus was thrilled by the mesmerising performance of the famous singer Kamal Heer. A total of 6000 students attended the fest with the star night having a footfall of over 3000 people.
