Sedition case was filed against Aamir Khan for his comments on intolerance in society at the Kanpur sessions court, for which the hearing will take place on 1st December. His comments have stoked a controversy.

Reacting to his remarks, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that the actor has hurt India. The minister also said that while some people are misleading, some others are misled.
BJP Spokesperson M J Akbar has condemned the remarks made by Aamir Khan on Tuesday. Akbar said that such remarks are made for political gains and they tarnish the image of the country globally.
