Chandigarh:- Bollywood’s famous film writer Amrik Singh Gill’s directorial debut Kirpan – The Sword of Honor’s music was released here today at a glittering ceremony.
Being released on February 7, the movie’s promos have already gripped the audience who is eagerly waiting for Kirpan – Two Sword of Honor to hit the theatres.
The film’s actor and singer Roshan Prince, music director Gurmeet Singh, lyricist Amardeep Singh Gill, film producer Rajinder Pal Singh Banwait, music company Shemaroo’s owner Babli Singh and film distributor Munish Sahni were also present.
Vice-chancellor, Punjabi University Patiala, Dr Jaspal Singh released the movie’s music with Gurmat College Delhi’s chairman Harinder Pal Singh, Punjab government’s assistant media advisor Vineet Joshi, principal secretary of cultural and tourism affair Punjab SS Channi and Darbar Sahib Amritsar’s Darbari Ragi Bhai Balbir Singh.
Producer Rajinder Pal Singh Banwait and music director Gurmeet Singh said special attention has been paid to the film’s music that runs like blood in a body. The movie has total eight songs that Amardeep Gill, Kumar and Jaggi Singh have penned.
One of the songs has also been borrowed from the creation of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The singers of movie are Roshan Prince, Miss Pooja, Master Salim, Mika Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Meenu Singh, Idu Sharif and Bhai Sahib Balbir Singh Ji.
The lead actor of film Roshan Prince said Kirpan – The Sword of Honor holds great significance for him. “The movie has unprecedented music that Indian audience has never heard before,” said Prince who has sung four songs in the movie.
His song Asin Sardar Hunne Haan is garnering rave views on YouTube and different channels. Besides this he has sung the songs Volume Full Karde, Dhol Shol Vajde Ne and Ehsaas Da Rishta.
Master Salim’s sung song Bhijje-Bhijje Nain is also a different genre of song. Idu Sharif has sung the song Uth Shera Dulariya. Audience will enjoy the other songs as well. Master Salim said it was matter of great pleasure that he was working for famous writer like Amrik Gill.
Chief guest Dr Jaspal Singh, Harinder Pal Singh, Vineet Joshi and SS Channi said Kirpan – The Sword of Honor was the need of hour for the Punjabi cinema. This movie will replace the present lot of Punjabi movies being churned out only on entertainment quotient. It would be great motivation for the Punjabi youth that needs role model. Appreciating the movie’s music they said that every word of a song speaks for itself. The music of Kirpan – The Sword of Honor is a far cry from thumping music Punjabi cinema is giving us.
Darbar Sahib’s Ragi Bhai Sahab Bhai Balbir Singh, who has lent voice to a creation of Guru Gobind Singh Ji in movie, said he was elated to know that Rajinder Pal Singh Banwait has turned pages of history in the film. Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s creation will help awaken the youngsters giving them a message.
Film producer Rajinder Pal Singh Banwait thanked the guests for the event and said that the music of Kirpan – The Sword of Honor will be a milestone of Punjabi cinema.
