By Madhup Yadav , Chandiagrh :These days the Tellywood Star Jai is hosting the Zee TV show Dance India Dance. In a chit-chat with him about his Zee show Jai shares his interesting views with us. Excerpts from the interview are:
How did you bag this challenging role?
A lot of offers did come after leaving Kayamat but I was keen on doing something substantial and different. For almost two to three months I was in between roles and one day I got a call from Zee TV. They offered me anchoring for their forthcoming show Dance India Dance.
Right from acting to anchoring, how this all happen?
It’s feels great. Apart from acting, hosting a reality show is quite different like other shows. No doubt that anchoring is tough but acting isn’t easier too.
It’s not easy to manage a reality show, but you have done it. How?
Basically anchoring means giving 100% to every sec. It involves fun full presence of mind. Interacting with the participants was fun where some came out with smiles and some with tears. But being a contestant is a much tougher task rather than hosting.
Is acting more challenging to comparing in Dance India Dance?
Both were difficult for me initially but gradually things started falling in place. But a balance is must. I am thankful to viewers that they loved my acting, my dance in one of the dance shows on another channel and now seem to have accepted me as an anchor also!
How will you handle the real gestures of the contestants?
Oh…God! I learned allot while handling the real emotions of the contestants. It seems a great feeling when people approach you without any hesitation and treat you as a friend.
Any Motto in life:
I believe that “Live life as the way it comes.” God is great to have given me everything. For me everything comes as a surprise and I am quite lucky every time.
