One day seminar was organised by Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Adhyatmik Mandal, Chandigarh, celebrating ‘Jagadguru Ramnareshacharya completing 25 years on Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Peeth’. The topic for deliberation was “YAGYA SANSKRITI KI VIKAS YATRA MEIN JAGADGURU RAMANANDACHRYA KA YOGDAAN”. The national seminar was organised at ICSSR Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh, in which intellectuals from various universities participated.
Dr. Nidhinder Prasad, Secretary of the organisation and coordinator of this seminar welcomed all the dignitaries. Prof. Himmat Singh Sinha (Retd.), Department of Philosophy Kurukshetra University was the chief guest. He expressed his views on the topic and highlighted Yagya sanskriti in the Vedic times when Yagyas were performed for service of the community. Prof. Nandita S. Singh, D.S.W. and Prof. of Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh was the guest of honour. In her address she emphasized that Yagyas should not be considered as mere rituals but in the real sense strengthen our inner-self, purify consciousness and build confidence, which support the total progress of human life. Prof. Ramakant Angiras, Prof. of Kalidasa (Retd.), Department of Sanskrit, P.U., Chandigarh, presided over the Seminar.
Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Ramnareshacharya Ji reflected on the subject and brought into light the contribution of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya in promoting Yagya Sanskriti in India. He also discussed how Swami Ramananda encouraged participation of women and the marginalised sections of society in the process nation building.Ramananda played an important role in reviving a religious sect that provided a spiritual pathway to people of all castes.
