MCM DAV College for Women, region’s premier educational institution, was bustling with young energy on the First Day of the admissions for the new academic session. MCM remained the hot favorite of girls admission seekers on day one.
In the undergraduate courses in sciences the cut-off for B.Sc. (Medical) was 82%, for B.Sc. (Non-Medical) it was 84% and for B.Sc. (MFT) cut off was 80%. The cut off for B.Sc. (Computer Science) was 70.8% , BBA witnessed a cut off of 88.4 % while the highest merit went upto 94.4%. The Postgraduate courses also experienced a huge demand with all seats for M.Sc. (Chemistry) filled on the first day only. M.Com registered a cut off of 73.5%. The cut offs for other postgraduate courses were M.Sc. (Maths) 81.1% M.A. (Sociology) 65%, M.A. (Economics) 62%, M.A. (English) 60%.. The add on courses were also much sough after as students made a beeline for the courses that enhance their vocational skills.
Principal of the college Dr. Nisha Bhargava said that such an overwhelming response is a testament of the faith reposed by students and parents in the college. She further reiterated that MCM remains steadfast in it pursuit of excellence.
