Chandigarh : Think India, Chandigarh organised a Symposium on ‘New India and Judicial System’ and Orientation and Induction of its Team in Panjab University, Chandigarh. Various dignitaries were present including Mr. Chetan Mittal, Asst. Solicitor General of India and Mr. Vikrant Khandelwal, North Zone Organisational Secretary, ABVP(Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad).Mr. Anil Mehta and Mr. Sarthak Gupta, Advocates were also present at the event.
Mr. Nirmal Sharma, Convenor, Think India(Chandigarh Chapter) announced that Anjani Rai and Naina Arora are selected as Co-incharges of Think India, Chandigarh and teams of three departments of Panjab University were also declared. Three students were declared as Department Ambassadors- Madhav Sinhal (Dept. Of Laws), Yajjur Sood (University Institute of Legal Studies) and Shubhangi (Economics Department). Two Department Coordinators were also announced- Prashant Goyal (Dept of Laws) and Parveen Malhan (University Institute of Legal Studies).
Mr.Chetan Mittal, Chief Guest for the event, congratulated the team and spoke at length on how the scope of advocacy as a profession is increasing day by day in New India and how the law in the country is coping up with various changes in the society. Mr. Vikrant, Special Guest for the day, spoke on how Think India has always been active in providing various opportunities in various fields to the students all over India.
