Chandigarh : Sarvhitkari Educational Society Punjab organised a five day Subject Enrichment Workshop for six subjects Maths, Hindi, Science, punjabi, Social Science and English. There were 80 teachers from different Sarvhitkari Schools of Punjab Prant present in Maths Workshop At day first, Sh Ashok Tripathi Ji ( Maths council Head Punjab Prant) explained the topic Areas related to Circles. He explained how to find area of circle when circumference is given, how to find area of sector. Different applications of formulas were explained in an interesting method.
On the second day, the resource person was Dr Manisha Gupta. She explained the topic similar triangles and its importance in daily life. On the third day, On the third day Ms Anjana Mittal ( Co Head Vedic Maths Punjab Prant) explained how to make tables through viniculum. She explained by taking various examples of two digit,three digit numbers. In the second session, Ms Jyoti Tewari ( Co Head Vedic Maths Punjab Prant) explained different methods of multiplication such as by Ekadhikena Purvena, Ekanyunena Purvena, Vertically and Crosswise Method etc by taking two digit,three digit,four digit numbers in an interesting way. On the fourth day, Dr Satish Sharma was the resource person.
He explained the concept of linear equations in two variables. Different methods of solving the equation is explained such as substitution method,graphical method etc. On the fifth day , Jyoti Tewari explained different activities to make our teaching interesting. She explained formation of square root clock, cube Root clock, Factor Bheem story , Concept of Ratio and Proportion etc. At the end Sh Sunil Malik( Co- Head of Maths Council) gave vote of thanks to all the teachers attending the workshop and said that such type of workshop is very important for professional development of teachers.
