By Jagpreet Sandhu,Chandigarh, December 24 : Students of Manav Mangal High School Sec. 21-C, Chandigarh on Saturday spent a memorable day with the children of Blind School Sec. 26, Chandigarh and shared their happiness along with the blind students on the occasion of Christmas.
Manav Mangal High School students made the day unforgettable for the inmates by presenting a small cultural programme which comprised of a dance, songs and Antakshri. The inmates of blind school joined the Manav Mangal students in their performance. The tapping feet and claps of inmates could be seen easily as they enjoyed each and every moment. The Students of Manav Mangal interacted with the blind students and tried to share experiences of their daily routine. Chocolates, sweets, biscuits, bananas etc. were also distributed among the inmates as refreshment.
Although the blind Students could not see but they were able to feel the presence of the Manav Mangal Students , who made them felt that they are an important part of the society. The students of Manav Mangal High School also presented the inmates with gifts dressed as Santa Claus. The gesture of young students was straight from the heart as was evident from the fact that they had tears in their eyes while leaving. Undoubtedly, children of Manav Mangal brought joy, peace and happiness of Christmas in the lives of blind inmates.
