July 25, 2018 : Guru Jambhashwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar has started a five days Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India (DST) sponsored “Inspire Internship Science Camp” in CRS Auditorium. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University inaugurated the camp as chief guest. Dr. Menka Jha, Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali and Prof. Devinder Mehta, Punjab University, Chandigarh were present as subject experts of the camp.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that the student should not only focus employment but they should focus on creation of jobs. Study should not focus for earn maximum numbers in the examinations. They should focus to develop their skills. India is lacking in the field of quality research. Research should be society and country-oriented.
Prof. Sujata Sanghi, Department of Physics in her welcome address said that India is a young country and young people need to come forward in the field of science.
Dr. Ravi Bhatia, Course Coordinator told that the five days camp has included top one percent topper of class 10th students 200 in number of the State. The participants will be encouraged to contribute their skills in the field of science and research. The students will be given tips for making their career in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Nano Science during the camp. Prof. Ashish Aggarwal, Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Prof. Mukesh Sharma, Prof. Rakesh Dhar, Prof. R.S. Kundu including deans of various faculties, heads of departments, teachers and students were present on the occasion.
