Chandigarh, February 23; Today, student members of Peace Club of Dev Samaj College of Education, Chandigarh along with volunteers of Yuvsatta launched a signature campaign for visa free India Pakistan at Dev Samaj College of Education. Kabir Khan, PCS, presently working as Consultant in Punjab Ombudsman Office in Pakistan was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Dr. Jyoti Khanna, Principal of the College welcoming the guests said that only the gandhian philosophy of live and let live is the mantra for peace and sustainable development and as neighbors India & Pakistan need to stay and grow together.
Giving information about the initiative Pramod Sharma, Coordinator, Yuvsatta shared that there is an urgent need to implement the visa-on-arrival programme for young students and senior citizens of India & Pakistan, so that the common misconceptions and myths about each other can be replaced by culture of hospitality and friendship that is characteristic of this part of South Asia. For which they have started today this signature campaign and intend to collect 10,000 signatures from the city favouring relaxed visa regime which will be later sent to Prime Minister of India.
Sharing his concerns Kabir Khan said that civil society in general and youth in particular, are demanding a space for intervention in the process of normalization of the relationship between India and Pakistan. No war, no bloodshed and peace at the borders in the first demand. Next, as commitment by both governments that the nuclear button will not be pressed, not now, not ever. Finally an assurance by all governments that South Asia, indeed, the entire world will become nuclear free. The situation in both countries has thus undergone a sea change. No longer are people willing to be mute witness to their futures being written and unwritten and destroyed by governments. They are not hesitant to stand up to be counted. They are determined to make the world a safe place for their children to grow in.
Dr.Nirmal Singh Dhillon, Chairperson Dev Samaj college of Education, Sec 36 B thanked Mr. Khan for initiating this noble cause and said that there is a great sense of belongingness between the general public and emphasised that we must to accept the reality that India and Pakistan are two different nations and both the nations should work in collaboration to improve their ties.
“You must be the change you want to see in the world”-Mahatma Gandhi
It is a very good start and it must end into restoration of ancient Bharat,by unification of Afghanistan-Bangladesh-India-Pakistan, turning this nation as a super most power across globe.
Should the better senses prevail upon the pupulace of all the said countries ther is no doubt that the goal shall be achieved without fail.
See when Germany has unified then why we can not,are we lesser sensible then the Germans?
Thus be Bravo to get done the ultimate unification & restoration of ancient Bharat, which was disintegrated politically by the enemies of the people of ours- (the said countries,) keeping in mind the vested interests of only few thousand of persons.
May GOD- Greatest Oblivion Delusion bestow better senses & prowess upon the populace of all the above said nations to accomplish this sacred salvation from all problems being faced, by the people of the above said nation—dr.amritgaur
