Punjab : Surya World Institute, an AICTE approved and future-centric initiative of Surya Pharmaceutical Limited, organised a Science Exhibition in Working Models at the Surya World campus here today.
The Exhibition showcased 24 models presented by the first year students of Surya School of Engineering & Technology. The model ‘Line Tractor’ prepared by the team comprising Sunil Kumar, Nitin Anand, Abhishek Singh & Vijay Shanker was awarded the first prize while the models ‘Mine Detector’ and ‘Fused Fluorescence Tube’ were declared second and ‘Fire Alarm’ and ‘Coin Based Electricity Supply’ models were were awarded the third prize.
Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, Ms Saanya Goyal, Member, Management Board, Surya World, said, “We are extremely delighted by the overwhelming response received from the students. Surya World being an initiative of Surya Pharma, we fully understand and appreciate the skill sets required to make a career in the corporate world. Therefore, we consciously prepare students with hands on experience and industry relevant skill sets to enhance their employability from the very beginning of the professional course. Today’s Science Exhibition is a step forward in that direction only.”
Complementing the effort, Ms Goyal said, “ It is really interesting to see a very versatile array of models ranging which very clearly portrays the innovative thought process and practical approach.”
Those who visited the Exhibition included invitees,senior faculty members and students from various departments. Going by the response, the Surya School of Engineering & Technology has already decided to re-organize the Exhibition on a much bigger scale, added Ms Goyal.
