In order to create awareness regarding Environmental issues among the students, a Poster Making Competition was organized at Government Post Graduate College- 46 in collaboration with Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes on Tuesday at College Campus of Government Post Graduate college- 46, Chandigarh. Dr. Zora Singh, Chairman, Desh Bhagat group of institutes was chief guest on this occasion. Dr. Sham Lata, Principal, Government Post Graduate College– 46, Chandigarh presided over the function.
The students enthusiastically participated in the competition and displayed their creative skills in painting environment related Posters in multiple colors. This was Coordinated under the leadership of Mrs. Tajinder, CEO, Hara Punjab Khara Samaj. Mrs. Tajinder said, “We have taken this initiative so that the students learn and spread awareness about Environmental issues. Trees are most precious gift of nature for the survival of human beings.” Further Mrs. Tajinder Kaur distributed Sapling of Medicinal plants among students and faculty Members.
Dr. Zora Sigh pointed out that environment has become an issue of great importance in the Present times. He called on all to make efforts to preserve the environment, so that the coming generations have a better place to live. Dr. Sham Lata highlighted the Importance of trees in human life. She said,” Life is worthless without trees. Trees are a vital part of our lives because they provide us with oxygen and food. Trees can save our environment. In the competition that was arranged on the occasion, the first position was got by Mr. Ravi Kumar, the second position by Mr. Vijay Kumar and third position was got by Mr Vikas.
