Panchkula, November, 14 2011: Brilliance World, Sector School, 12, Panchkula organized a function as part of Children’s Day celebrations. On this occasion a cultural programme was organized in the school. The Principal unveiled a portrait of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru made by Ms Monika kapur, the art & craft facilitator at the school. Befitting tributes were paid to the first Prime Minister of India, whose love for children is not only legendary but inspirational as we. An exhibition of artwork created by students as well as teachers was also held. Children were regaled with stories and anecdotes about the life and works of Pandit Nehru.
The teachers had prepared various items to entertain, educate and enlighten the children on this special day. Speaking to the children on the occasion, the principal said that children are not only the future but the very foundation of strong and progressive society. No stone should be left unturned to ensure that every child is nurtured and encouraged to achieve his potential in the most invigorating manner possible. The role of a teacher towards the attainment of this goal cannot be stressed upon enough.
