By Jagpreet Singh Sandhu ,Chandigarh, January 20 : PEFA, an Eco-friendly Association started a programme to aware students of the University towards environment on Friday at Panjab University campus, Chandigarh.
The students of PEFA Unit told students that after eating food the utensils, disposable, etc. should be thrown in dustbins. Prof. R.C. Sobti, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University appreciated the work started by PEFA Unit. Prof. A.S. Ahluwalia, Dean Students Welfare put forward his step and throw the wastage in dustbin. He also promised that administration will also provide help in this programme.
PEFA gave suggestions to students to use dustbin for garbage & also gave other useful tips for keeping the environment clean. Along with this the PEFA members also voluntarily cleaned the Student Centre of PU campus. The students made posters for creating awareness towards environment.
PEFA Organization is working from last 12 years on environment improvement. Mr. Sanjeev Gulati, President of PUC PEFA, Davinder Singh, Seema, Mandeep, Anupam, Satnam, Sahil, Sharanjeet Bajwa, Sukhi, Manpreet, Lovepreet, Paramveer Bal, Mohita, Randhir, Baldev shared their thoughts with the students.
