The chief guest of the session Prof. Naval Kishore, Dean, College Development Council, Panjab University, Chandigarh said that he was over whelmed and filled with nostalgia as he himself was an ardent participant in Youth Festivals. He appreciated the strong management of the college where the meticulous details of every event, decoration, festivity was looked into. He also shared that music transcends boundaries and is therapeutic and uplifts the soul.
In the category of music which included instrumental music, Indian orchestra, folk orchestra, the girls stunned the audience with their enthusiastic and enthralling performance. Parallel sessions on literally items were also being held. The debate on the topic that the T.V. Family serials are destroying the flavour of Social relationships analyzed the various aspects of the positive and negative points of television dramas. The other events included Elocution on ‘home and woman’, Poem Recitation on Aulad, Quiz, Creative Writing and Essay Writing competitions.
The afternoon session included a riot of Traditional folk songs, Kavishri, Kali/Vaar songs. The chief guest of the session was Mrs. Pallavi Singh, Director Empowerment and Organizing Secretary, Indian Council of Social Welfare. The Chief Guest and the audience swayed to the folk songs which created a folk aura.
