By Jagpreet Sandhu ,Chandigarh, January 17 :Department of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies, Panjab University in collaboration with Punjabi Academy Delhi is organizing a National Seminar on “Representation of Women and Dalit: Perspective of Sikhism (Literature, History and Social Discourse)” on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the ICSSR Seminar Hall, P.U. Campus.
Professor R.C. Sobti, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University will deliver the inaugural address. Prof. Jagbir Singh, former Professor & Head, Department of Punjabi, Delhi University, Delhi will deliver the Keynote Address and Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala will preside over the seminar.
Professor Gurnek Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Vishav University, Fatehgarh Sahib and Professor Dalip Kaur Tiwana, Eminent Punjabi Writer would be the Guests of Honour. Dr. Rawel Singh, Director, Punjabi Academy Delhi will propose a vote of thanks, Dr. Jaspal Kaur Kang, Professor & Chairperson, Department of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies, P.U. informed.
