CHANDIGARH: 13 December 2011: A Chrysanthemum exhibition organized in Prof. R.C. Paul Rose Garden, Panjab University from 14.12.2011 to 17.12.2011. The exhibition was inaugurated today by Prof. (Mrs.) Vipin Sobti, who was deeply impressed with the exhibits displayed at the venue. On display along with the flower of the show at Chrysanthemum show organized by M.C., Chandigarh, there were 84 varieties of Chrysanthemum and 3000 potted plants.
The biggest attraction at the show was flower arrangements in the form of Butterflies. Visitors were seen getting their photographs clicked with these arrangements. The exhibition was attended by eminent academicians from University and outside and various officials including Registrar, Dean Student Welfare, Dean College Development Council, Wardens and faculty members. Prof. R.C. Sobti, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University appreciated the efforts of the Horticulture Division of the University by saying that such green initiative on part of university helps us in getting closer to the nature and creating awareness about environment amongst the masses.
