Mohali,29 Jan: Oakridge International School is to conduct an IB PYP Orientation Programme for parents and children at Taj Chandigarh on 1stFeb. The motive of this programme is the IB PYP (International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme) is a globally recognized sophisticated curriculum which is inquiry-based and equips students with self-confidence, preparedness, organizational and research skills.
While speaking at this occasion Principal Pranjila Dass said that after Comparing with a traditional curriculum such as CBSE, IB PYP offers a comprehensive and challenging course which actively engages students in learning and encourages them to develop critical thinking and gain exposure to intercultural communication across different countries.
She further added that for focusing on student-cantered learning and learning to be global-ready IB curriculum is introduced by Oakridge School. The IB teachers of the school are trained by the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization). Most of these teachers are IB examiners in their respective subjects. The Programme includes an address by the Principal, Captain Rohit Sen Bajaj, a distinguished IB Ambassador. Interactive sessions with distinguished educators will also highlight the various advance level IB options available to students after the PYP Programme.
