The Department of Mechanical Engineering of North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh is going to organize three days International Symposium on ‘Aspects of Mechanical Engineering & Technology for Industry (AMETI 2014),’ during December 6th – 8th, 2014.
The basic objective of the symposium is to bridge the gap between the industry and academic research. It will provide a common platform to academicians, researchers, scientists, engineers and industrialists to exchange their expertise and knowledge in their respective fields. The 21st century is the century of knowledge and academicians as well as industrialists have a vital role to play in this era to promote and enhance the knowledge among the society, nation and globe as a whole. The topics covered are from the wide spectrum of mechanical engineering subjects like Aerodynamics, Applied Mechanics, Automation, Additive Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering, Advanced Materials, Alternate Fuels, Fluid Mechanics, Fuels and Combustion, IC Engines, Industrial Engineering and Management, Industrial Tribology, Noise and Vibrations, Optimization of Systems, Renewable and Non-renewable Energy, Solid Mechanics, Biomaterials, Biomedical Equipments, Bio Technology, Ceramic Materials, Composite and Smart Materials, CAD/CAM/CIM, Design and Manufacturing, Energy Management, Heat and Mass transfer, Mechatronics and Robotics, Machinery and Machine Design, MEMS, NEMS, Modeling of Processes, Non-conventional Manufacturing, Nano-Technology etc.
To make this international event a successful one, an advisory committee under the chairmanship of Prof. U. S. Dixit, IIT Guwahati has been constituted. Various eminent personalities from reputed Institutes / Universities, Industries and academic/research Institutes in the country such as IITs, NITs, DRDO, NITTTR, Centrally funded institutes and Industries are expected to take part in the three days International Symposium at NERIST.
For successful completion of the programme an organizing committee headed by Director, NERIST along with faculty and staffs of Mechanical Engineering Department has been constituted. Dr. Pradip Lingfa, Associate Professor and Dr. S. S. Gautam, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department are the Conveners of the three days International Symposium.
