February 03: “If country fails to believe the scientific evidence of existence of our religious scriptures and their characters then the country has to look upon the Land of Ravana instead of Ayodhaya of Ram” expresses Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana, in his speech as Chief Guest in a two day exhibition on ‘Cultural Continuity from Rigveda to Robotics’ celebrating antiquity and richness of India’s ancient heritage in Guru Jambeheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar.
Also present on the occasion were Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Kamal Gupta, Chief Parliamentary Secretary & MLA and Prof. M.S. Turan, Registrar, GJUS&T, Hisar.
While delivering his inaugural speech as Chief Guest in a two days exhibition Prof. Solanki stressed the need to recognize the contribution of Indian Ancient Science towards a better cohesive world. He said that although India is isolated by Himalayas from the rest of the world yet we cannot forget the knowledge generated by India for the rest of the world which includes Yoga, Arthshastra, Brihatsamhita, Virkshayurveda, Amarakosha, Vedic mathematics, Ayurveda, Aryabhatta astronomy and Shailya Chikitsa. Prof. Solanki praised the efforts of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar and I-SERVE in coming together and organizing this unique exhibition to reinstate the faith of common people in Indian ancient history and their scientific proof of existence.
Mrs. Saroj Bala, Director of I-SERVE in her keynote address provided an elaborated view of their fifteen years’ research on scientific existence of Indian mythological characters including Lord Rama, Lord Krishna and historical events like Ramayana and Mahabharta.
Explaining the main objective of their research she said that the purpose was to establish synergy between ancient scientific wisdom and modern sciences with the objective of developing nature friendly technology and establishing authenticity of events narrated in ancient scriptures using modern scientific tools .
Mrs. Saroj Bala shared the scientific methods used in authenticating historic events mentioned in our ancient literature by extensively using ecological archaeological, anthropological, geological, paleobotanical, oceanographic and remote sensing technology.
Mrs. Saroj Bala further explained that they extracted those Shlokas having astronomical references and plotted them on latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates of that period using astronomical planetarium software. The findings revealed the matching of all the events in sequential manner as they were mentioned in each ancient era. Their team were able to exactly overlap the events like birth of Lord Rama, solar eclipse during war with Khar-Dushan, beginning of Mahabharat, fall of Duryodhan during Mace battle, existence of Ramsetu above see level eminent ancestors and descendants of Lord Rama and many more such ancient events.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar Vice Chancellor of GJUS&T said that this is high time to disseminate the Vedic Culture of India amongst the masses. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar called for the need to resurface the ancient Indian Science and Wisdom to lay the foundation stone for the new research that will take the humanity in equilibrium with nature.
He said that organising such exhibitions in premiere institutions like GJUS&T will open new vistas for innovative and environment friendly researches. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar lauded the efforts of I-SERVE in contributing unique knowledge combining ancient wisdom and latest scientific methods.
