Chandigarh, March 20 : A seven day Skill enhancement workshop from March 17 to March 22, 2012 followed by a two day excursion is organized by Education Department Chandigarh and Yuvsatta being supported by US Embassy, New Delhi. The workshop named mid term intensive program held at Government Model Senior Secondary School (Timber Market) Sector-26 is introduced as a part of the US ACCESS MICRO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM which is in operation from last one year helping students for English learning. The main focus of the workshop is to update the abilities of 100 young minds from economically weaker sections of society enrolled in the program.
Workshop is divided into certain different skill development areas of Interpersonal skills, Decision making, Team building, Creative Art, Multi- media and Theater. In this regard number of professionals is appointed as resource persons to facilitate students in the program.
Summing up this initiative Mr. Hushang, a well known international educationist and resource person to the workshop said that the program is a great initiative for the kids to learn English language through various mediums of life skill activities.
