Chandigarh : The two day Annual Cultural Fiesta , ECLAT ’18 , of Manav Mangal high school , Sector 21-C, Chandigarh commenced today at Auditorium : Manav Mangal SMART SCHOOL , Sector -64, Mohali. Students being the sparkling attraction, entertained the audience with various cultural items.
The fiesta began with a presentation highlighting the achievements of students in scholastic and co-scholastic areas. To make the event more genial and glorious, students thanked the Almighty with a Prayer dance , ‘Shukrana Tera”. Social media has become an integral part of our society. It has both positive and negative effects .A thought provoking act, ‘Digital Rishtey’ conveyed the message about the side effects of social media as negative effects have dominated precariously . It is the mark of our tradition to invoke The Almighty in every important event. To seek the blessings of, ‘Vignaharta – Shree Ganraya’ , a divine dance form was presented in a power-packed performance. Styles of western dance are form of partner-style dancing and is influenced from folk and jazz. Amidst huge applause, an energetic and rhythmic ,western dance performance, ‘ High Life ‘ was also exhibited .
Success is failure turned inside out . Nobody is born a winner . To be winner, one must plan to win, prepare to win , and expect to win . A motivational dance ‘Jazba’ was presented with a message to fight the struggles of life hard and emerge as winners. ‘Mother’ , is that one word that embodies all the love a human being can offer . Mother’s love is the fuel that enables a normal being to do the impossible . ‘Father’ is the pillar of strength and gives us a chance to admire ,respect and honour .He is the guiding light whose love shows us the way. Students paid a tribute to God’s greatest creation ‘parents’ in their presentation , ’Farishtey’.
The state Rajasthan is a milestone in the cultural strata of India. The extremely traditional and foot tapping dance form, ‘Ghoomer’ which has gained popularity all over the world ,was presented in “Ghoomer Ghoome Re’. Women constitute half of our Population and hence they are an equal force ,an equal power, to be reckoned and recognized in society .Where women are honoured , divinity blossoms there. A team of some of our finest performers presented this message in their item , ‘Tu Hai Shakti’ .
Punjab is an array of folk dances . Traditional Bhangra has originated from the Majha region of Punjab .A vibrant and foot tapping dance performance, Bhangra, was presented in ‘ Punjab De Rang ’. In their daily busy life , people have forgotten to laugh . A performance with funny dance movements was showcased by the students in the item ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ as they believe that a day without laughter is a day wasted.
Nature is personified as creative and controlling force , which affects all creations of life. God has blessed us with this beautiful creation to be treasured for generations. We, as human beings owe an apology to our ecology . Manavites took up a small initiative to create awareness on conservation , through a fashion show ,“Mother Earth’.
