Desh Bhagat Institute of Management & Computer Sciences organised a five-day Management Development Programme under the patronage of Dr. Zora Singh (Chairman) & Mrs. Tejinder Kaur (Vice Chairperson) of Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes. The program was organised under the Industry Motivation Campaign with a view to tackle unemployment by creating self employment opportunities. In this program the Assistant Director of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Mr. B.S. Nagi & Mr. Kundan Lal informed the students about self-employment opportunities in detail. Mr. Kundan Lal explained that different training programmes for setting up industry are organised in which knowledge is given about the purchase of machinery and raw material etc. He further said that in these training programmes information is also given about ISO certification and export procedure.
The students were told that this training is given free of any charge and a certificate is given after the completion of the training. The certificate holders are given loans up to Rs. 25 lac under the Employment Generation Programme of the Prime Minister. On this loan, a subsidy of 35% is given to women, backward classes and schedule castes. Motivating the students during the program, Mr. Nagi said that for setting up their own industries, they should have self confidence, determination to do something and positive management thinking.
Director General of Desh Bhagat Group, Dr. Shalini Gupta welcomed the guests and hoped that the program will prove quite useful for the students to become self dependent.
